The Italian Cortina Club
Since 1965, the Italian Cortina Club has served as Kitchener-Waterloo's meeting place for recent immigrants, Canadians of Italian background and those interested in the cultures of Italy. In September, 2005 we celebrated our club's fortieth anniversary with a gala evening. To become a member or to renew membership, download, print and fill out the .pdf membership form.

The opening of the Kitchener facility in 1992 at 22 Kevco Place brought an intensification of Club activities which now include several dinner-dances a year and Friday night bocce. In 2004 we went beyond bocce into a September extravaganza. |

Our facility provides a venue for special events such as Maggio Artistico (a week of events at the end of May, highlighting Italian contributions to the arts) and theatrical performances such as storyteller Charly Chiarelli's Cu' fu? -- a hilarious memoir of life as an immigrant kid growing up in Hamilton (see his web site) |
Our Wednesday Lunch is an ongoing tradition that has made the Club better known in the community and spread the word of our excellent cuisine.
Members of the Club have also organized a youth soccer team, the Coro Allegria singers (specializing in Italian folk songs) and the Seniors Group.
| The Alpini Group, composed of veterans of Italy's famous Alpine Corps, are active in charitable work. |
